Memory lane's been busy the last couple of days. traffic up and down. a couple of loaded buses wound their way out in the previous two nights. talking to Aatekah and Maria, and then to Ayesha tonight, made me realize 1. that I have mostly (only!) female friends 2. I have amazing friends 3. that there's so many little things that I've lost in the clutter in the attic.
There's some old gems hiding out behind the cobwebs. a few picture albums somewhere. a trunkful of pictures that should have been taken but never were. key-chains, cards, frames, letters, notes, ash-trays, mugs, glasses, toys and an assortment of balls that need to be accounted for. pictures that were hidden away.
In a few months, more of these will be packed up to be stored somewhere. the Old will get tossed out to make room for the New. the New will probably be a great deal more complicated. there's time yet to leave but the end has begun. here I say that for each memory, for each little treaure, gem and stone, I am eternally grateful to everyone.
The shell hath begun to crack!
Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. I've had a blast.

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
