New resolution -- must start eating regularly. Staying in bed all day and then running off to gym after not eating a thing all day and not having exercised in a week--not a good idea. Half-way through my work-out, after putting my forearms through severely strenuous punishment, I get up to walk around in between sets and suddenly feel the cold sweats coming on. Now for someone who's been a low-BP patient all their lives, the cold sweat is a sure sign of worse things to come.

As soon as the cold sweats start, you feel the slight nausea coming on and all strength seems to depart from your legs. With the loss of the ability to stand, you need to find a place to sit down quickly and the on-rushing nausea demands that you lie down too. Also, it's imperative that you get some salts and sugar in your system. Water, with sugar and salt mixed in, is the best way to get rid of most exercise problems such as cramping, low blood-pressure and loss of body salt. As an automatic reaction, the first thought to cross the mind of a low-BP patient is: Lemonade!

Unfortunately for me, the LUMS admin decided the location of the Sports Complex keeping in mind the difficulty which must necessarily be encountered in getting to the SuperStore for people like me. My left groin muscle also decided this was the perfect time to cramp up.

So there I was, low-BP and all, trying to hobble my way to the Store. The Big Yellow (those who know me at LUMS, know the Big Yellow!) bouncing along my hip. I managed to get as far as the tennis courts before needing to sit down. Sat, and then lay down with my head propped up on B.Y. After a 3 minute breather trying to get some energy back and get some of the nausea recede, got up and walked upto the next turning, the Rausing road, before another collapse. This time a 2 minute stop. Yet another 2 minute stop outside the PDC and I managed to find my way to the Store and crashed on one of the seats after ordering me a Lemonade, Banana Shake and a sandwich.

This little adventure made me realize how little I've been eating in the last week. Sandwiches and lemonade, after a bout of low blood-pressure, are fine but as a complete diet, they leave a whole lot to be desired. Hence, from now on, I eat. I eat healthy and low-fat, but I eat. Eating low-fat will mean the flab goes and stays away. It'll also mean I can have the one pack of M'n'M's every 3 days! =D

Life is Good!

You stoopid loser! What the hell were you thinking? This is also why you need a phone. So you can call someone for help. Whatever happened to the guard? You could've told him to get the lemonade since you were about to faint. I can't believe it. You're so irresponsible.

And you tell me to eat. I mean you're the one to talk. I don't have low BP. I don't practically faint all over the place. I'm healthier than you. So don't tell me to look after myself till you start doing that first.

Stupid FreaK!

And you asked for this!!

p.s Yes, I HAD to comment even tho you-know-what :-p Should tell you something. I'm serious. :-p

Oh and it'll be a good idea to keep a bag of MnMs in the 'big yellow' [if it's what I think it is] for instant energy... tho I doubt you'll be able to keep yourself away from it till you absolutely need it :-p
