Get a motherfucking sense of perspective, people!!!

I was sitting online last night trying to talk to friends, finding out about people, letting people know that I'm ok, telling people about those I knew who had lost someone and looking up relief efforts being made. Ali's mom was sitting flipping channels when she stops on one showing the damage done by the 'quakes. Amidst the pictures of mind-numbing destruction and devastation, I hear the words "our ally in fighting terrorism" and for the first time I realize what channel we're watching! During the report, terrorism was mentioned 5 times while the number of people hurt, dead and devastated was never mentioned once. There was no predicted death-count or estimate of losses. There was no mention of relief efforts underway. The questions raised were not of rescue and rebuilding. "The question now is how Pakistan will be able to continue to aid us in the War on Terrorism after the destruction caused by this catastrophe."

So very kind of you to recognize this as a catastrophe!!!
