The lure of the Corporate Whoredom manifests itself again!

It's possibly an unavoidable evil that veers its head every time issues of financial security clash with personal and intellectual integrity. Intellectual pursuits are sacrificed on the money-altar for the sake of material benefits, often not for oneself. Today, three days after my own official conversion to the Dark Side, I've encountered two others who seem to be switching sides. Their reasons for doing so may differ -- I'm almost certain that they do -- but the career direction these people had picked out for themselves is registering a drastic change from earlier notions.

Their conversion, whether necessitated by circumstance or choice, hurts me more than my own.
