“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” – The Lord’s Prayer

“Lead me not into temptation; I can find the way myself.”– Rita Mae Brown

“I never resist temptation, because I have found that things that are bad for me do not tempt me.” – George Bernard Shaw

What is it that tempts you?

Of all that God has created—and all that man has created duly—what is it that gives rise to your desires? Refrain from the sexual, for that is base and unworthy of being made part of this discussion. Mention not the physical attraction that you may feel for others. Think more in terms of what it is that makes you want to do something—anything. Think not of the Aristotelian Appetitive Soul—not of that which aims to satisfy the animal being. Forget the corporeal cravings that seem to drive you.

Now think chocolate. Think coffee. Think ice-cream and sugar. Think cotton-candy. Think cheese. Think greasy fattening food.

Think some more.

Think meaner. Think playground bully.

Think kid-walking-around-with-head-in-clouds. Think wedgies and thrown pebbles. Think toads. Think pushing annoying brats off slides.

Think some more.

What tempts you?

I like temptation. =)

Ooooh... interesting question! :D
The unknown tempts me most of all...
But retreating from the realms of the obscure - anything fattening tops the list, followed by anything that allows me to procrastinate and waste time!
:P

Temptation is me. Grin.
