Why are Pakistan's three best batsmen scared of facing the new ball? Isn't Younis Khan supposed to be Pakistan's number three? Aren't Inzamam and Mohammed Yousuf supposed to be world-class batsmen? Why are all-rounders facing the brunt of the Indian (so-called) pace attack?

Pakistan's top four for the 3rd ODI includes 3 all-rounders. The only pure batsman is intent on turning himself into an all-rounder by adding a new feature to his ability to bat. Salman Butt will now also contribute to improving the general fielding standards of the world's wicket-keepers and slip-fielders.

Well, I think sending Afridi out early was a mistake. He's made the middle-order all his own lately, and you don't want to upset his rythm.

Shoaib Malik can hardly be called an all rounder. He's in the team because he can bat in the subcontinent.

Akmal is beyond reproach for now.

Butt needs a good whipping.

i'm not finding fault with Afridi, Akmal or Malik. They've been consistently doing the job they're asked to do. A failure or two are expected from the best.

Butt I can forgive if he gets out in any way OTHER than being caught behind the wicket!

What i don't get is the attitude of the 3 main batsmen of the team. and the attitude of the team management. invariably, the finger points at Inzi. the whole scenario stinks of fear and apprehension.
